Why am I seeing a security message when trying to create ads?

You may see the following message when trying to create or edit ads:

“We think someone may have tried to access your account without permission. For your protection, you won't be able to create or modify ads until you authenticate your account in Ads Manager.”

This is a security measure from Meta.

It can be triggered even if everything appears normal in your account, which can understandably feel confusing.

🛠 How to fix it

We’ve found that completing the verification directly in Meta usually resolves the issue.

Please try the following:

1. Go to Meta Ads Manager

2. Open the campaign and ad set you were working on

3. Start creating a new ad

4. This may trigger the same security message

5. Follow the prompt to verify your account or Page (often via two-factor authentication)

6. Once completed, return to Kitchn and reconnect your Facebook integration if needed
